What the hell is the big deal? If you read the article you'd see that it's for those unable to recover their accounts from the original xbox. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but after all these years, does anyone care at this point about their old name? Also... it's not like they had achievements back then, so all you'd be buying is a name you haven't even used in atleast 6 years.
Not without rethinking their devices though. I think Steve jobs could come out with a very sexy gaming phone with buttons and the touch screen, but he will never have a chance with their current product. There are so many people out there that have to have the latest and greateat igadget. Just release a product called igamer, with a decent launch lineup utilizing the new buttons and it will sell like crack.
I think it's fake. Right from the beginning how the brother who put the camera in the room left right as he was coming in and didn't get questioned? That plus the remote up the ass was way over the top.

is the fact the software sucks at finding song information. I can't tell you how many songs I have on my zune that are under the wrong artist, or just unknown. Not even WMP is that bad at finding song information.
Other than that, it's a pretty good device. With the addition of java support now, there is a chance it could compete with all of the apps on ipod touch.
Renting games you don't even care about just to increase a meaningless and petty score? What a tool... if anything MS did this guy a favor, now he is free to actually do something semi-meaningful with his life.
IMO the entire achievement system should be abolished. Sure, it gets you to play your games more, people are taking it beyond that... and then making it out to be a freaking tragedy when something like this happens?

Not because of the controller... just because I find it easier to just go into my pip boy. Unfortunately you can't permanently assign something to a short cut, which sucks because I used to assign my stimpack to the D Pad, but once you run out you have to re-assign it. Since I found that out I just go into my pip boy every time. If enemies could still attack you while you were using your pip boy though, i'd be singing an entirely different tune.
"Released by the end of this year" is by no means official. Even an official release date doesn't mean it is guaranteed to release that day.

Unfortunately there isn't an official chat. I've been told by a mod that there is no plans to make one either, so this has been made in the meantime. Who knows, maybe if this gains popularity Dusty will decide to make his own official chatroom.
